We have enjoyed keeping up with our staff and students this summer as they traveled and explored local destinations and those around the world, completed internships, spent time with family and friends, and attended professional development and educational enrichment opportunities. Our staff and students have been busy!
Ever wonder what a whole summer might look like as a Seton student? We have been trying to keep pace with Jimena C. '19 this summer as she worked as a counselor at Seton's band and Summer Arts Learning camps, as well as attended band camp at DeMatha Catholic High School and volleyball camp with Seton's volleyball team at the University of Delaware. Additionally, she is currently volunteering at the Adventist Hospital Pharmacy Department and attending the Advanced Medical and Public Health Summit with other Seton students, a unique opportunity and leadership initiative held in conjunction with Georgetown University.
At the Advanced Medical and Public Health Summit, she is learning a lot in the classroom, but also in the field, enjoying expeditions to the National Museum of Health and Medicine, Howard University School of Medicine and Georgetown University School of Medicine. She has had the opportunity to meet with doctors from different specialties, as well as work with medical staff from around the globe. At the end of this program, she will have an assigned mentor to work with her as she continues her education. Well done, Jimena!
We thank you all for sharing your summer stories with us. Soon, we will be counting down the days to welcome back our staff and students. Be on the lookout for new faculty news and updates about our Seniors and incoming Freshmen!
