Chris Vadala, one of the country's leading woodwind artists and in-demand jazz/classical performer and educator will perform with the Rick Whitehead Trio at Sunday Jazz at Seton on January 21st, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mahler Center for the Performing Arts at Elizabeth Seton High School.
The collaboration between Chris Vadala and the Rick Whitehead Trio brings together master jazz instrumentalists whose styles and experiences mesh seamlessly in performances throughout the Washington DC metro area. They have been featured at the National Gallery Sculpture Garden, the Montpelier Jazz Series, the annual Westminster Flower and Jazz Festival, the Reston VA Summer Series, Blues Alley and others. Their most recent recording, Eastern Standard Time, recorded live in the studio, includes standards by such composers as Duke Ellington, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter and Phil Woods. This performance is not to be missed!
Proceeds from this concert will be used for the renovation of Seton's auditorium into a
state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center for the benefit of our students and extended families and the greater community. The concert will also feature Seton's Choral Arts Performers. Tickets are $25, which includes a light fare reception, and can be purchased online at setonhs.org/support-seton/chris-vadala.
