With our campaign to support renovations to the Mahler Center for the Performing Arts underway, it has been a busy season, as usual, for our talented vocal, instrumental, theatre and dance programs that make up our Performing Arts Department.

To support the renovation campaign, Chris Vadala, one of the country's leading woodwind artists and in-demand jazz/classical performers and educators will perform with the Rick Whitehead Trio on January 21st, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mahler Center for the Performing Arts at Elizabeth Seton High School. The concert will also feature Seton's Choral Arts performers. This show is not to be missed! Tickets are $25, which includes a light fare reception, and can be purchased online at setonhs.org/support-seton/chris-vadala.

This weekend, our Gospel Choir will present their 20th Anniversary Concert. Proceeds from this concert will support their trip to Rome this spring. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased online at setonhs.org/alumnae/gospel-choir-concert.

Our dancers have been hard at work this semester, preparing for their upcoming Winter Dance Production, "I AM...", in the Mahler Center for the Performing Arts. "I AM..." is an exploration of themes that impact women and how that shapes their identity and role in the world. Dance students will present work from a range techniques and styles consisting of Modern, Jazz, Ballet, and Afro-Contemporary. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at setonhs.org/arts/dance/winter-dance-production.

After a successful "Seton Goes Broadway" trip last year, students interested in theatre will participate in the second annual New York City Spring Break trip featuring theatre workshops, a performance of Aladdin, dinner with a cast member, as well as a backstage tour of Radio City Music Hall.

And finally, Dr. Brad Tatum, Director of our Instrumental Music Program, will be featured as a Guest Conductor for the South Archdiocesan Honor Band on February 24th, 2018. Congratulations, Dr. Tatum! This summer, we will also offer Dr. Tatum's band and horn camps. Stay tuned for more information about our summer offerings.

At Elizabeth Seton High School, the possibilities within the arts are endless; all girls interested in music, dance, or theatre can find her niche and improve her skills. For prospective families interested in learning more, our Saturdays at Seton enrichment series will also feature the popular Seton Sings program. For more information, or to register, visit setonhs.org/admissions/visit/Saturdays.

We hope to see you at one or all of these upcoming performances and events!
